Ya Heard.

The year: 2010. UGGS have been pervading the streets of North America since: 2004.
Now after 6 years, you would think that one has seen enough of those "smushed" EMU's around town - to know that in the case of shapeless shoes, it is not worth it to save the balance and opt for the tier 2: EMU's. Please do us all a favour and just buy the UGG brand if you must; at least your shoes will hold up and wont oddly give out and tumble over their own soles. If I see one more girl walking around on those leaning-tower-of-pisa-pieces-of-shiiiiii - you will leave me no choice but to photograph your fashion faux pas and post it here for the world to see. muahahahah.....

John Mayer: The Remix

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAWfvkGMR0s

Pic(k) of the Week(end)

Going to see my boy tomorrow night

Although widely controversial for the things he says, I still back John Mayer hard for what he does best....musicaaaaa. Lets face it, the guy is a lyrical genious - at least according to me. And if we're going to also touch onto his personal style, I would have to say that I am also a proponent for that aspect of who he is as well. Basically, the guy just needs to get it together when it comes to his erratic love life and his outspoken commentary pertaining to that subject matter...but we'll leave that topic for a different kind of blog. Other than those few "quirks," I can proudly say that I have been a big fan of John Mayer's work (and style) since day 1. Have a looksy for yourself...

Let the Gizzity Games Begin!

Although this post is entirely unrelated to the world of fashion, it pertains to a place very dear to my heart. Seeing as how this Stylista Fashionista was born and raised in Richmond, B.C. (a suburb just out of Vancouver), it is with great pleasure and honour (thats right, honour spelled proudly with a "u") - that I welcome the 2010 Olympics games & the world to our great city of Vancouver :)

Alexa Chung: Stylista Fashioista Extraordinaire

Get inspired.

R.I.P.

The fashion world lost a truly gifted designer today. At only 40 years of age, Alexander McQueen was found dead at his home in London, Elngland. Among other things, McQueen will be remebered for his outrageous designs, unconventional runway shows, unparalleled imagination and constantly reinvented shock tactics. You will be missed.

To Ruffle or not to Ruffle?

Stella McCartney: Ready-to-Wear Spring/Summer 2010 - Paris Fashion Week

....without a doubt......TO RUFFLE!

Vrai ou Faux?

Colouring Christian

My Stylista Fashionista heart literally skipped a beat when I first laid eyes on this stunning pair of Poppy-Plato Oxfords by none other than our favourite French luxury shoe designer - Christian Louboutin. Although I am convinced these not-so-subtle sky-highs take the cake for his spring 2010 collection, below you can feast your eyes on the rest of our boy's latest creations. Long live the King.

Sense of Independence

While perusing around Toronto's trendy Eglinton West strip yesterday, I stumbled upon a very quaint yet ultra chic boutique....cue Sense of Independence. Similar in a way to Want Boutique (minus the focus on dresses), Sense of Independence's competitive advantage definitely lies in their impressive collection of jewellery. Necklaces, bracelettes and earrings of plenty, ranging in and around $25-$40 per piece....not a bad price point considering how cute their pieces really are. So the next time you are pondering over what to buy the Stylista Fashionista in your life who seems to have everything - head to Sense of Independence for the answer to your gift-giving or personal-giving needs.
