FYI: UGG

Ugg Australia has finally opened their first Toronto retail store located in Yorkville at 23 St. Thomas Street (I'm thinking it moved intowhere leatherman MO851 used to be).

Another FYI is that the brand appears to be aggresively targeting men, judging by theyre latest TV add featuring Tom Brady (how hot can one man possible be?) - click here to see Tom in all his UGG glory.

name that price.

No witty commentary needed here.  I picked up these amazing olive desert wedges for $4.23 from Old Navy.  No joke...'twas the deal of the century -or week in this Stylista Fashionista's deal-seeking case. love y'all.

Have your faux and shearling too.

H&M...with a dragon tattoo?

This December, get ready to feast your eyes on H&M's latest collaboration: H&M x The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo lead heroine Lisbeth Salander.

For those not familiar with Ms. Salander, expect the much anticipated clothing line to be a mix of goth, punk, rock i.e. heroine chic.  I'm so down.

Oak+Fort

I have discovered my new favorite (west coast) store. Oak+Fort, located in the Gastown neighbourhood of Vancouver, B.C., emanates the minimalistic appeal of Alexander Wang combined with the exquisite detail of Rodarte and the modernity of Jil Sander.

My favorite piece was an eggshell crepe button-down blouse with black leather peter pan collar and black leather cuffs as well as a post-modern utility/trench/raincoat to die for -aaaand the fact that Biggie Smalls is referenced on their home page.

My only gripe with the retailer is their online boutique does not even scratch the surface of showcasing the extent of beautiful pieces available in store.  I am not sure why the website is not maintained, but I do know that having an inadequate online inventory means bad business. (not to mention the store hours are not posted online and no phone number is listed)...trying my best not to crack a lazy west coast joke, but they're making it unbearably hard.

My Veridct: The website totally sucks but the store is absolutely amazing.
